Since the inception of Internet, the world has seen radical changes in the way we communicate and blogging is the prime example of such a change. Simply, blogging is the act of writing to reach mass audience by utilizing the Internet as a principal mode. The writers of these blogs are known as bloggers. Now, professional bloggers have taken the concept a step further and developed it into a more professional rhetoric which includes the most common concepts found in Journalism. Blogging is sub divided into many categories including personal blogs, corporate blogs and question blogs.
Most recent trends in blogging involve the use of video and pictures, a concept which has given rise to video blogging. It should be noted that blogging is synonymous with writing but it is in fact a much more informal style of writing. Blogging has gain wide spread acceptance around the world because it provides writers much more freedom than the typical press. Unlike, Journalism where most bloggers are restricted by particular guidelines, in blogging, the writer uses whatever style they prefer. Furthermore, Internet has provided bloggers a medium to express their views without being dictated on the style of writing. It will not be an oversimplification to suggest that blogging has provided a new dimension to Journalism in a more refined manner. Just like the Internet, Blogging is emerging as the most liked medium.
